I sent the ex-husband an email to tell him of my name change, and he seemed to be well pissed off! WTF???
I left him 5 years ago! He has a new woman all be-it in Singapore, but he is loved up. So why the long face over me giving up his name?
The mind boggles!

How is the name change affecting your boys?
They were the first people I considered and they understood and were not bothered, like they said as long as I am happy they are happy. They have kept their dad's name as that is who they are and I would not take that away from them. so it's just the ex husband who aint happy. oh well!
Hi, hope you don't mind me popping in, I came via Norfolk Single Dad.
I have been apart from my husband (not divorced yet) for 2 years and I still have his name, I ve had it the same amount of time as the one I was born with.
Sometimes they can be tricky creatures the ex's, mine said to me quite seriously recently " you're still my wife" and I asked "how does your girlfriend feel about that ?"
My ex would like me to stay on my own, bringing up the kids and be trotted out for his convenience as required.
As long as you and the kids are happy, then don't give him another thought.
thanks auntiegwen, I guess I am too soft hearted and dont like to hurt peoples feelings, but I can honestly say it is one of the best things I have done. I feel kind of re-born!
